Abstract: Inspur’s HA storage solution is based on its BCP software. It combines Inspur’s hardware and software and shares data between two or more mainframes, thus ensuring the equipment’s high availability and the continuous operation of the mainframes. The solution has been widely applied to governments, healthcare, education, etc. It is the perfect way to ensure that the customer’s business operations are always kept operational.
With social development and technological advancements, corporations’ business operations are gradually becoming more dependent on data processing and IT systems. Once data is lost for one reason or another, it will probably bring significant inconvenience and losses to the entire organization. The corporation’s reputation will also be damaged. If core data is lost, the entire corporation may be paralyzed. Therefore, ensuring the corporation’s continuous operation and the high reliability and high availability of data processing is the IT staff’s priority when constructing the corporation’s IT architecture.
Traditional single computer systems have many problems, among which are the following:

Inspur’s High Availability Solution
Inspur’s HA storage solution combines the company’s hardware and software and shares data between two or more mainframes, thus ensuring the equipment’s high availability and the continuous operation of the mainframes. There are three solutions for BCP, which achieve high availability respectively through mirroring, sharing and introducing mainframes with multiple nodes.
BCP through mirroring: Two mainframes have the same systems and applications, and they use their own data storage space. Data synchronization between the two is achieved via BCP software. Thus, when one mainframe fails, business will be immediately activated in the other server. The topological graph of the solution is illustrated as follows.
BCP through sharing: Two servers share one storage volume. By creating resource monitoring strategies, the failed server will be automatically substituted if the monitored resource goes wrong and the preset strategies fail to work. The topological graph of the solution is illustrated as follows.
BCP through multiple nodes: This involves N+1 backup, meaning that one backup server can be used as backup for any of the other servers. When any one of the servers crashes, business will be transferred to the backup server, which ensures business continuity. In addition, it also significantly reduces the cost of procurement and management. Multiple backup and reciprocal backup among multiple nodes can fully employ the servers’ available resources.
