The Cloud-edge Collaborative Solution

Scenario Analysis
Generally, clients will expand branch offices with the rapid development of business. In this case, each branch will face the problem of the lack of basic resources in the regional data center and the shortage of O&M personnel in the computer room, thus, a more agile, reliable, easy-to-use data center infrastructure with self-recovery capability is required.
Similar to the aforesaid branch scenarios, in the context of Internet of Things, more and more computing capabilities need to be deployed in edge scenarios to process huge amount of data generated by a large number of edge intelligent terminals. In this case, there is often no standard data center room environment around the edge area and there is always a lack of O&M personnel. Such edge cloud scenarios pose new challenges to the data center infrastructure.
Decentralization of Resource Information
The construction of information faces the problem of being widely distributed and independently constructed at each site, as well as environmental and scale nonconformity. Due to the systems coexist but are independent of each other, it is hard to share the processes of data acquisition, analysis and application, and thus forming an information island.
High O&M Cost
There are no simple and effective tools for IT administrators to manage IT resources globally, and the IT O&M tasks cannot be performed without manual work, as well as heavy repetitive workloads lead to inefficient operation and maintenance.
Poor System Availability
The branch and edge business applications require real-time data acquisition, processing and exchange, which are highly dependent on the stable operation of the system.
Application Scenarios

The solution can be applied to scenarios such as edge computing, energy equipment monitoring and maintenance, and unified governance of branches, realizing unified scheduling, unified O&M and collaborative management of the central cloud, as well as nearest access to multi-branch data, and localized processing. Currently, it has been widely applied in many fields such as smart park, smart mine, smart rail transit and smart hydropower.

Solutions
The center-branch solution employs the technical architecture of “cloud-edge-end” collaboration, and the edge cloud and the central cloud are equipped with a unified architecture, unified interface, unified management and unified O&M, which minimize the cost of user development and O&M tasks, and truly expands the scope of cloud computing to the place closer to the source of data generation. The solution is mainly composed of the central cloud layer, the edge cloud layer and the edge intelligent terminal layer, wherein:
●The Edge Intelligent Terminal: is capable of acquiring data through sensors and other terminal devices to generate data sources and report to the edge cloud platform.
●The Edge Cloud: with edge autonomy capability to perform real-time inference and response after receiving data sources, and uploading analysis data to the central cloud to reduce response delay and bandwidth cost.
●The Central Cloud: is capable of intensively displaying the usage and alarm monitoring conditions of each center resource rely on unified monitoring; wherein, the central cloud management platform administrates each central resource pool in a unified form, and implements the online application and scheduling of resources by cooperating with the business approval process in the form of tenants. In addition, the business can be distributed online to each branch cloud resource pool through the central cloud management.
